Cheeseburger Sliders

Our gourmet slider buns can accommodate loads of yummy fillings, but sometimes you just can’t beat a classic. Cheeseburger Sliders so good they’ll be the talk of the town, they simply melt in the mouth.

Ingredients

10x Kara Gourmet Slider Buns

750g of 20% fat ground beef mince

1 large chopped white onion

1x egg (yolk)

1x pack of slice cheddar burger tops

1x tbsp of garlic powder

1x tbsp of paprika

1x tbsp of ground black pepper

1x tbsp of extra virgin olive oil

Salt for seasoning

 

Burger Sauce Ingredients

200g mayonnaise

125g ketchup

50g american mustard

3x tsp pickle juice

Process

  1. Separate the egg yolk from the white, keep the yolk as that’s the part we’ll be using.
  2. Combine your beef mince, egg yolk, garlic powder, paprika and pepper – now mix together using your hands until the seasoning and yolk is mixed throughout.
  3. Split the mince into 10 even balls.
  4. Form each meatball into a patty shape, use the slider bun as a size reference.
  5. Add 5 patty’s into a frying pan (or until the pan is full) and cook for 4 minutes on each side.
  6. Combine the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard and pickle juice into a bowl and mix well until you your sauce combines, easy as that.
  7. When you flip the burgers, add a slice of cheddar cheese on top and put a lid on the pan, if you don’t have a lid use tin foil – this helps melt the cheese whilst the burger cooks.
  8. Whilst the burgers are cooking, add your chopped onion into another frying pan with a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil and fry until golden brown.
  9. *Optional* – lightly toast your gourmet slider buns for a minute to get a firmer burger.
  10. Once the cheese has melted and the meat is cooked it’s time to build your burger, no need to cut the buns as they come pre-sliced.
  11. First, spread a small amount of  burger sauce on the base of the bun, then add the burger, cheese side up, season with salt and put friend onions on top. Then add some more sauce to the slider lid.
  12. Final step, tuck in and enjoy.
