Chicken Caesar Bloomer

Convenient food-to-go menus still need to be interesting. Mix it up with sandwich breads! Transform a classic salad recipe and encase it in Kara’s Malted Bloomer Bread for a satisfying lunch option.

Ingredients

2 slices of Kara Malted Bloomer Bread

Thick chunks of cooked chicken

Romaine lettuce

Parmesan cheese, shaved

Salt & pepper, to taste

For the Caesar dressing:

1 close crushed garlic

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 tsp Dijon mustard

3 tbsp mayonnaise

1 tbsp olive oil

1/2 tsp smashed anchovies

Process

Lightly toast two slices of Kara’s Malted Bloomer Bread.

If you’re not using a ready-made Caesar Dressing, make your own version by mixing the mayonnaise with lemon juice, crushed garlic, Dijon mustard, crushed anchovies and a good splash of olive oil. Combine all of the ingredients and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Start to build the sandwich with one slice of the bloomer bread spread with a thin layer of lemon mayonnaise. Top with layers of romaine lettuce, cooked chicken, parmesan shavings.

Finish with a drizzle of the Caesar dressing, salt & pepper and top with the other toasted bloomer slice.
