Easy Vegan Pizza

Vegans needn’t miss out on this Italian comfort! Our Easy Vegan Pizza is a classic; using Kara’s Doughballs, this is a cost-effective recipe that’s easy to make and is a great addition to the menus of vegan food suppliers.

Kara Doughball

Tomato Pizza Sauce

Handful of vegan cheese

Rocket – to serve

Process

Roll out the pizza dough to the required shape. Prick over the base with a fork to prevent too much rise.

Next, spread a generous amount of tomato sauce onto the base of the pizza. Top with your choice of vegan cheese (we used vegan mozzarella) and finish with a sprinkle of cherry tomatoes.

Top tip: Make small incisions into the cherry tomatoes to stop them from exploding whilst cooking!

Place into a pizza oven and bake for approximately 10 minutes. Finish with rocket or spinach and serve immediately.

Storage & handling

Kara’s Doughballs should be stored frozen at -18°C or below. Once defrosted, do not refreeze.

To defrost

Take the required amount of dough balls from the freezer and place 2″ (5cm) apart on a baking tray. To avoid the doughball skinning, cover with a lightly greased film and place in the refrigerator overnight.

Once defrosted, store in the fridge (5°C) and consume within two days.
